Steven Scher is the author of a children’s book published in 2022, “The Moon Bear,” illustrated by Sarah Waller. It is available wherever you buy your books. Ask for it if you can’t find it on the shelf. The drawings are quite lovely. The writings pretty good too, if I do say so myself. You will love reading it to your children and they will love reading it back to you.

The House of Podcasts is a not so imaginary home.  Here you will find new and interesting stories of people remaking the world in small and large ways.  Hopefully, we will also have a little fun.

The House of Podcasts is my audio home these days. I’m Steve Scher, a teacher, podcaster and interviewer behind the microphone and on stage. For many years I worked as producer and host of Weekday and later The Record on KUOW public radio. I left in 2014 to do independent work and to write. Some of my work from the 28 years on KUOW is online, but inexplicably, KUOW has removed the audio and much of the archive.
